Your Health Leaders Attend The RISE, The Social Determinants of Health Forum

Washington, DC – December 2024 – Dr. James Williamson and Scott Middleton recently participated in The RISE - Third Annual Social Determinants The RISE - Third Annual Social Determinants of Health Policy Forum held in Washington, DC. The event gathered over 300 policymakers, policy experts, and practitioners from the health and social services sectors for solution-focused workshops and discussions on the current and future landscape of social determinants of health (SDOH) policy.

Krista Drobac, MPP, Co-Chair of the conference and a leading voice from Aligning for Health, emphasized the need for innovative approaches in advocacy, stating, “We need to change our language, our messaging, new case studies, different things that are important to the incoming group of leaders in Washington.”

Echoing this call to action, Co-Chair Sandra Elizabeth Ford, M.D., M.B.A., F.A.A.P., a public health expert and former special assistant to the President for public health and science, reinforced the forum’s commitment to addressing persistent challenges in health equity.

Dr. Williamson and Mr. Middleton expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to engage with industry leaders and explore innovative solutions for improving health outcomes through SDOH initiatives.
