Jennifer's academic journey reflects a commitment to excellence: Post-graduate Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Graceland University, November 2008, where she excelled with an impressive GPA of 3.9. Her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in 2006 maintained an outstanding GPA of 3.9. Jennifer graduated with honors (cum laude) from Lander University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Dual honors from Chowan College in 1982 showcased her academic prowess, earning cum laude distinctions with an Associate in Newswriting and Advertising, and a Diploma in Word Processing.
NURSING EMPLOYMENT
Provider Health Services (August 12, 2013 to Present) sees Jennifer fulfilling the role of a Family Nurse Practitioner at a 120-bed skilled nursing facility. Her responsibilities include conducting daily rounds and providing on-call services, ensuring both urgent and routine care is delivered with expertise and compassion.
Doctors Care (December 21, 2011 to September 30, 2013) witnessed Jennifer as a Family Nurse Practitioner in an urgent/family setting. Her responsibilities included assessments, evaluations, and performing various procedures such as laceration repair, x-ray reading, and joint injections.
At GHS – Laurens Family Practice (September 14, 2009 to August 30, 2012), Jennifer served as a Family Nurse Practitioner for a rural health clinic and National Health Care Nursing Homes in Laurens and Clinton, S.C., contributing to the well-being of the community through her expertise.
HIGHLIGHTS OF PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
Jennifer's commitment to education extended beyond patient care. She served as an adjunct professor at the University of Phoenix, Axia Campus (Online), from April 2010 to February 2011, teaching SCI/162 Principles of Health and Wellness. Her role as an adjunct nursing instructor at Lander University, Greenwood, SC, included a full-time position from August 2007 to May 2008. In this capacity, she covered pediatrics, medical-surgical, didactic, and clinical sections, including introductory medication calculations.
HONORS / MEMBERSHIP
She earned Nursing Honors from Lander University in 1996, focusing on Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) in her honors project. Jennifer graduated cum laude from Lander University in 1996. She was inducted into the Mu Zeta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau in 1995 and is a proud member of the National League for Nurses, S.C.
