Robert Mitchell, APRN

Robert's healthcare journey began in 1995, where he spent 25 years caring for people as a dedicated Paramedic/EMT. Wanting to deepen his impact and continue growing, Robert took the next step in his career by pursuing nursing. He earned an AS in Nursing from Trident Technical College in North Charleston in 2015, followed by a BA in Nursing from Walden University in 2019. In 2020, Robert completed his Master’s as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, also from Walden University.

With his extensive background as both a Paramedic/EMT and an ICU nurse, Robert brings a wealth of hands-on experience and compassion to the patients he serves at Your Health Primary Care. His role involves visiting patients in their homes across the Charleston area—a setting that allows him to get a true sense of each person's environment and unique challenges.

For Robert, home visits offer a special kind of connection with his patients. He shares, "Being in someone’s home allows for a more personal, vulnerable interaction, and it’s important to respect and honor that."

Robert, who was often frustrated by the reactive nature of traditional healthcare, enjoys the proactive approach of Your Health Primary Care. "I get to see my patients more often, which helps me catch issues early before they become bigger problems that lead to hospitalization. Plus, our patients have peace of mind knowing they can reach out 24/7 through our Center for Telehealth."

Your Health Primary Care is proud to have a network of dedicated healthcare professionals offering in-home visits and Telehealth services to residents, assisted living communities, and skilled nursing facilities across South Carolina. New patients can register, book appointments, and access round-the-clock care by calling our Center for Telehealth at 800-491-0909.
